21 Things I’ve Learned in my 21 Years
Reflect before you react.
Let people flow, not every falling out has to be full of drama.
Being too hard on yourself will cause you to burn out.
Trust your gut.
If you have to question if something is right for you, chances are it’s not.
Don’t let fear or ego hold you back from what you want.
Pick your battles.
Look good, feel good, do good.
Appreciate the people who are there for you unconditionally, not the people you wish were.
Your heartbreak will pass and you will be okay (time really does heal).
Just because someone is a good person, doesn’t mean they’re the one for you.
Loving yourself before you can love anyone else properly is not just a cliche.
You will never find peace in what broke you.
No one is paying as close attention to you as you think… it’s not that serious.
It’s okay to go against the grain.
Do it scared, do it tired, do it sad. Just do it.
It’s okay to ask for help.
It’s okay to mess up. It's also okay to forgive yourself when you mess up.
Hurt people hurt people.
You don’t need closure from the person who hurt you.
Give yourself credit where credit is due. It’s okay to celebrate yourself even when it’s not your birthday!
